What to send so we can actually help
If something went wrong, three lines get us most of the way:
- The build line. In the game, tap the gear (Options). At the very
bottom of that screen is a small grey line that starts with the word
BUILDfollowed by a date and time. Type it out exactly. That one line tells us precisely which version you are running. - What you were doing. "It froze on the results screen after a Harbor Town race" is worth more than "it crashes".
- Your phone and iOS version. iOS Settings → General → About.
If the game crashed, please do not delete and reinstall before you write to us — the game keeps a short note about the crash and shows it in Options the next time it starts. Reinstalling wipes that note, and your progress with it.
Common questions
How do I steer?
You do not steer directly — you nudge. The buttons at the bottom of the screen push your marble left or right, and there are buttons for jumping and for boosting. Physics does the rest. Good play is choosing the right moment, not holding a direction.
How do power-ups work?
You pick them up on the track and they sit in the row along the bottom of the screen. Tap one to use it. Every strong power-up has a counter or a cost, so timing matters more than luck.
What are the seven worlds?
Toy Workshop, Lost Jungle, Neon Circuit, Summit Falls, Temple Rush, Harbor Town and Deep Orbit. Each one unlocks with trophies, and the later ones charge a coin entry fee and pay a bigger prize.
Why did a race cost me coins?
Tracks past the first one charge an entry fee, shown before you start, and pay out by finishing place. On the hardest tracks a poor finish can cost more than it pays — that is the deal those tracks offer, and the numbers are on the screen before you commit.
What are my chances from a chest?
They are printed on the chest. Tap the odds on any chest before you open it and the game shows every possible outcome and its chance.
I lost my progress. Can you get it back?
Honestly: usually no, and we would rather tell you that straight away. Progress lives on the device. If you deleted the app, reset the phone, or tapped Start Fresh, it is gone and we have no copy of it. If Cloud Save was on and a backup had been made, the game offers to restore it when you next start — Options → Cloud Save. Email us and we will check what exists before you do anything else.
Are there ads?
No. There is no advertising in the game.
Can I buy coins or gems?
Not in this version — there are no in-app purchases at all. Coins and gems are earned by playing. If that changes we will say so in the game and on the Terms and Privacy pages first.
A purchase did not arrive.
There are no purchases in this version, so this should not be possible — if you were charged for something calling itself this game, that was not us and we would very much like to know. Refunds for anything bought on the App Store are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a purchase was taken and the item did not appear in the game, email us and we will put the item in your game regardless.
How do I stop the game sending statistics?
Options → Account & Help → Share Play Stats. It takes effect immediately and nothing in the game changes because of it. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what was being sent.
How do I delete everything?
Options → Start Fresh wipes the save on the device (it asks you to hold the button, because it cannot be undone). Deleting the app does the same. To have a cloud backup deleted as well, email us with "Privacy request" in the subject and we will tell you the one thing to send.
The game stutters or gets hot.
Tell us — this is the bug report we want most. Send the BUILD line, your
phone model, and which track. If you have Save Race Clips switched on in Options, try
switching it off: recording is demanding and it is off by default for that reason.
Can I turn down the motion or the sound?
Yes. Options → Sound Mix for audio, and the toggles at the top of Options for motion and haptics.
How do I play against a friend?
Multiplayer is on the home screen. When you race a friend nearby, iOS asks the first time whether the game may find devices on your local network. If you say no, the rest of the game is unaffected.
I found a bug I could exploit.
Please tell us instead of using it. We do not punish anyone for reporting something, and a good report often ends up credited in the next update's notes.
